Child Protection Standards

Purpose of Regulation

The purpose of this regulation is to define and implement Child Protection Standards at Da Vinci Sp. z o.o. in Kraków as a special measure to protect minors. The Standards ensure equal treatment of minors in access to healthcare services, acting in the best interest of the minor, and listening to their opinions.

Responsible Persons

Persons responsible for receiving reports of events threatening Minors and providing them with support, including keeping a register of reports, are persons managing organizational units of the Entity, within the scope of activities in which information about the above-mentioned events is received.

Principles of Safe Relations Staff - Minors

The primary principle of all actions taken towards Minors is to act for their good and in their best interest. Minors must always be treated with respect and with consideration for their dignity and needs.

• Staff obliged to comply with the law, including patient rights
• All actions guided by the best interest of the Minor
• Consider age, health situation, and individual needs
• Maintain kindness, empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity
• Personal data protected in accordance with GDPR
• Staff obliged to maintain data confidentiality
• Minors have the right to respect for intimacy and dignity
• Cooperation with Guardians recommended in preparing Minors

Prohibited Behaviors

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable towards Minors:

• Intimidation or blackmail
• Ignoring or belittling the needs of the Minor
• Use of any form of violence
• Raising voice, shaming, humiliating, insulting
• Establishing sexual or romantic relationships
• Accepting any items, including money, from Minors or Guardians
• Recording the image or voice of a Minor for private purposes
• Offering alcohol, tobacco products, illegal substances

Intervention Procedure

In case of harm to a Minor or reasonable suspicion thereof, Staff is obliged to take appropriate action, including establishing a support plan for the Minor by taking appropriate actions in accordance with the principles arising from these Standards.

• Report to the person responsible for receiving reports
• Establish a support plan for the Minor
• In case of suspected crime - notify police or prosecutor's office
• In case of suspected domestic violence - Blue Card procedure
• Provide the Minor with appropriate medical and psychological assistance

Protection of Minor's Personal Data and Image

Protection of the Minor's personal data is an inalienable right and is subject to regulations specified in legal provisions.

• Staff may not record the Minor's image without written consent of the Guardian
• It is forbidden to publish the Minor's image in any form without the Guardian's consent
• It is unacceptable to provide media representatives with contact details to the Guardian without their knowledge and consent
• Minors' image is not recorded for advertising purposes
