Development of Psychiatric Infrastructure for Children and Youth
Project funded by the European Union under the European Funds for Małopolska 2021–2027 programme.
Full project title
Second stage of reconstruction and change of use of three floors of an existing building located at Sułków 112 for the provision of psychiatric and psychological care and psychotherapy services for children and adolescents
Program and action
Main objective of the project
Increasing and ensuring equal access to various forms of care and assistance in mental health by providing appropriate infrastructure for the provision of services according to the mental health care system model for children and adolescents at reference levels I and II, available near the place of residence, which will allow people suffering from mental disorders to function in their family and social environment and counteract stigmatization.
Target group
In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of 19 June 2019 on guaranteed services in the field of psychiatric care and treatment of addictions (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1285): „the service provider provides services to the following group of beneficiaries: children before commencing compulsory schooling; children and adolescents covered by compulsory schooling and the obligation to learn, as well as those educated in upper-secondary schools – until completion thereof; and their families or legal representatives”. This provision defines the target group to which the project is addressed – it specifies very clearly to whom the Applicant may provide services at the facility.
Project scope
The planned investment will provide comprehensive implementation of the diagnostic and therapeutic process in one place, covering reference levels I and II. Thanks to this, patients - depending on their clinical condition - will be able to use the services of three organizational units in one location. This solution will not only increase the comfort of patients and their families, but will also improve cooperation between specialists, enabling frequent consultations and coordination sessions.
